John David McAlister, 26, of Okmulgee, was arrested Wednesday on complaints of aggravated possession and distribution of child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
A search warrant resulted in the removal of several pieces of computer equipment. According to investigators, an on-site examination of the equipment revealed more than 100 child pornography images. Officials will conduct a thorough forensic investigation to determine the total number of images and videos, and the possible identities of victims.
Investigators with the Attorney General’s Office trained with the OSBI in the safe serving of search warrants and searching for evidence in technology-facilitated crimes.
“Child pornography is a serious threat,” Pruitt said. “My office will continue to assist law enforcement to help safeguard Oklahoma families and citizens.”
